GUERIN SCHOLARSHIP - (3)
The Guerin Scholarship, equal to the value of one-half year tuition is presented to the students who place first, second and third in the Placement Exam. It is renewable annually for four years. This Scholarship is named in honor of the foundress of the Sisters of Providence, Saint Theodora Guerin.
Note: Only students entering 9th grade in the following August are eligible. Guerin winners must have taken the test at Providence. Students who are awarded this scholarship are not eligible for the $1000 Ritter Scholarship. Recipients must stay within attendance and behavioral guidelines and maintain an average GPA of 2.75 or better.
RITTER SCHOLARSHIP – (30) - to
The Ritter Scholarship is a $1,000 tuition scholarship awarded to thirty (30) eighth grade students in each New Albany Deanery grade school annually. The student must take the Placement Exam at
Students who wish to apply must complete an application and write an essay. Applications are available through your school and essays must be submitted to your school principal by Jan 15, 2010. Essays are reviewed by the Providence Marketing Committee in a blind test and winners will be announced by February 28, 2010.

PIONEER SCHOLARSHIP
The Pioneer Scholarship is a $500 tuition scholarship awarded to ten sixth grade students in New Albany Deanery schools without a Junior High (7th and 8th grades.) Students who wish to apply must complete an application and write an essay. Applications are available through your school and essays must be submitted to your school principal by Jan 15

The Fr. Mike Hilderbrand Leadership Award contains three $1,000 scholarships:

To a Freshman rising to Sophomore level

To a Sophomore rising to Junior level

To a Junior rising to Senior level
The award goes to one student in each class who has best exemplifies the leadership qualities of the program. Recipients must be in the forefront of the four pillars of the School Leadership Program – Spirit, Spiritual, Social Service, and a good (doesn’t have to be outstanding) academic standing.
The Irvin and Gerry Gettlefinger Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000 award to one Junior rising to Senior level, to be used to defray the expense of the Senior year. Recipient is a Junior who best exemplifies the Providence spirit and values and has achieved a good (doesn’t have to be outstanding) academic standing. It can be awarded to someone who has also been awarded the FMHLA above.
