THOMAS E. "T.J." SONNE - 1997T.J. was deployed to Afghanistan on October 11, 2009 with the 41st Squadron. He flies the C-130J airplane. Contact TJ at tjsonne@gmail.com T.J. is married to Blair Schmidt, a 1999 graduate of Providence.
T.J. Sonne returned to the States on February 23, 2010. His wife Blair writes, "Tell everyone thanks for the prayers we sure appreciate everyones support." Thank you T. J. for your dedicated service to our country, and for making your Providence community proud!

Alex was deployed to Iraq in June 23, 2009. As of August 2010, he is back on U.S. soil. Thank you, Alex, for your dedicated service to our country, and for making your Providence community proud!
Alex graduated from Xavier University in May, 2007 with a BS in Business. He entered the Army in June, 2007. After Basic Training he went directly into Officer Training School and was commissioned in January, 2008, and is currently a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

BLAKE ANDREW NEWELL - 2002Blake was deployed in June, 2009 for a 12 month tour. As of August 2010 he is back on U.S. soil. Thank you, Blake, for your dedicated service to our country, and for making your Providence community proud!
Blake was injured during his first tour of duty in the Middle East. He and two others encountered an IED. Blake recovered State-side before his deployment to Afghanistan in June, 2009
