He graduated from Providence in the third class – 1957, and continued his education with degrees from Marian College, Catholic University of America and Spalding University.  Ray taught at Providence from 1962 until 1996, when he pursued a professional art adventure.

After six years away, Ray returned to Providence in August of 2002 as Director of Development and Institutional Advancement.

During 2004-2005, he helped designed and manage construction of the Sam and Paula Robinson Performing Arts Center.  Ray officially retired his full-time position in July 2007, but remains at Providence two days per week serving as Website Coordinator.

Ray and his wife Eileen are members of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. They have one daughter, Jennifer (PHS ’86).  “Grandchildren Kalena and Vincent  bring much enjoyment to our retirement years,” say Ray.  And regarding Providence, he continues, “Great things grow in good soil – and Providence is GOOD soil. My love of the school and its mission has not diminished over the past 50+ years.  Southern Indiana has reaped the harvest of Providence graduates – and is a better place because of it.”
