It is such an honor to have the opportunity to serve on the Board of Trustees at Our Lady of Providence High School. As a product of twelve years of Catholic education, over thirty-five years working in public education, and a parent of a Providence graduate I am quite cognizant of the outstanding educational and spiritual foundation supported by the faculty and staff. Providence provides extraordinary opportunities for growth academically, physically and socially to prepare students to become responsible, functional, and ethical members of society.
Mrs. Ann (Kaiser) Day ’80

Graduating from Providence High School and becoming a member of the Providence community has been a blessing in my life. I’m thrilled that my husband and I have been able to provide the same opportunity of Catholic education for our three children. Providence High School provides a superb foundation for its students to be educated in all aspects of mind, body, and spirit. By focusing on educating the whole person, Providence allows its students to foster their own unique talents while encouraging them to share their talents for the betterment of society. I’m honored to serve on the Board of Trustees at Providence High School.

The investment by my parents in a Catholic education at Providence continues to play a major role in my life today. This education and experience provided the foundation and opportunity for me to develop certain skills that have helped me to achieve important goals in life. Most importantly, the Catholic values I learned at Providence have shaped the person I am today and continue to guide me in my everyday decisions.

In the early years of Providence High School my siblings and I had the great blessing of attending this wonderful place of learning. The lessons and values that we learned as well as the friendships we formed, continue with us. Our parents, like many today, made the necessary sacrifices to give us this gift. It is in gratitude for this that I feel privileged to serve on the Board.

As a parent of two current Providence students, I am honored to have the opportunity to serve on the Providence Board of Trustees. The Catholic faith is something that my family is extremely proud of and something we want to instill deeply in our children. The faculty and staff of Providence do a tremendous job of providing the best education while instilling the Catholic faith and values that are so important to many Catholics. Providence Jr.-Sr. High School has been a tremendous asset to this community for generations, and I look forward to helping build and continue its legacy for generations to come.

A parent of two Providence students, I’m so excited and honored to be a member of the Board of Trustees and the Providence family. I’ve seen the difference that Catholic education has made in the lives of my children and many others, offering an experience that develops the whole person with Christ at the center. I look forward to using my talents to help Providence build on its success and ensure that exemplary Catholic education is available to Southern Indiana students for generations to come.
Mr. Lawrence “Tex” Very (Hon. 09)
My wife and I graduated from a public school, but we sent our three children to Providence. Two of our grandchildren lived in this area, and they both attended Providence. We sent our children to Providence knowing that they would receive great Spiritual guidance, plus they would receive a quality education that would be of benefit when they entered college. I serve on the Board because I think it is important to do what we can to insure that the school will be there for the children that want the values and education that are available at Providence.

As a convert to the Catholic faith and a Kentucky implant to the Southern Indiana community, I feel very honored to be an adopted member of the Providence family by virtue of my service on the Board. Speaking as a Providence parent, I’m grateful for the excellent care the Providence faculty and staff have taken in my children’s academic and spiritual development. I trust that Providence will continue to mold young hearts and minds as a positive force in our society. Toward that end, I’m glad for the opportunity to lend my support in furthering the Providence mission and in striving to reach ever-higher levels of excellence.

I feel very fortunate to have attended Providence High School. Providence allowed me to learn a wide array of skills through academics and athletics that have helped shape me into the person that I am today. The lifelong friendships and memories that were created within the Providence family will never be forgotten. As these current and prospective students begin their college journeys, they will quickly appreciate the knowledge and preparation that was instilled in them by the Providence faculty and staff.
