The 2017-2018 season ended on some high notes with four wrestlers advancing to regional in the state tournament and junior Sam Hudlin making the jump from sectional placer to semi-state qualifier, ranking him in the top 32 in his weight class in Indiana. The team continued to develop throughout the year and came together at the Southern Indiana Wrestling Conference (SIWC) with six wrestlers placing, including Sam and junior Nathan Grantz winning conference championships. Sophomore Chase Aldridge returned to the lineup from his offseason injury that sidelined him for 10 months to advance to regional. Lone senior Jansen Tate provided leadership all year and will definitely be missed, but a strong contingent of Sam, Nathan, Chase and junior Noah Liter and freshman Wilson Stemm will return next season.
