Our Lady of Providence High School Retreat Program

Ninth Grade – Retreat day facilitated by CYO Camp Rancho Framasa
This retreat day is held at a local parish and is facilitated by a team from CYO Camp Rancho Framasa. The day includes small group activities and discussion, witness talks, prayer, and community building activities, with a focus on seeing Christ in our everyday lives, making God a priority, and using our gifts and talents to make a difference in the world.

Tenth Grade – Retreat day facilitated by NET Ministries
NET Ministries challenges young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church.  Specifically, their mission is to:
• Proclaim the Gospel of Christ through a personal witness of faith
• Invite young people to live for Christ
• Form young people in Christian character through the study and practice of their  faith
• Equip youth with the ministry skills needed for evangelization

Our sophomore retreat theme is “In His Image.”  It challenges our students to remember who they are.  “Who are you? A soccer player? A dancer? The funny guy? The nice girl?” There is one identity you don’t have to earn and cannot be taken away. This theme explores our inclination to identify ourselves by what we do rather than who we are as God’s sons and daughters.

Eleventh Grade – Full Filled: Overnight retreat at Mt. St. Francis
This overnight retreat experience held at Mt. St. Francis empowers the students to make tough decisions and to ask difficult questions in the midst of their faith walks with Christ. The focus is on emptying ourselves so that God can truly fill us. Experiences of prayer, witness talks, small group discussions, and community building are all a part of this retreat experience.

Twelfth Grade – Christian Awakening Senior Retreat
The Christian Awakening retreat experience has been around for decades. This four-day, three-night retreat helps high school seniors explore their relationship with themselves, with others, and most importantly with God. It calls them into deeper relationship with Christ, and helps them to ‘reawaken’ the faith that has been instilled in. Ultimately, the retreat calls them to action – to live out the life that God has called them to.
