NINTH GRADE – RETREAT DAY (facilitated by Campus Minister and upperclassmen student leaders)

This retreat day is held at Providence and is required of all freshmen. The day includes small group activities and discussion, witness talks, prayer, and community building activities, with a focus on what it means to be a part of this community. The retreat day gives the students the opportunity to form new friendships, think of goals and hopes for the next four years, and reflect on who they want to become through this journey of high school.

Tenth Grade – Retreat day (Facilitated by NET Ministries)

Our sophomore retreat theme is facilitated by a group of NET missionaries who are trained for and passionate about working with young people. NET Ministries empowers young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church.  Specifically, their mission is to:

  • Proclaim the Gospel of Christ through a personal witness of faith
  • Invite young people to live for Christ
  • Form young people in Christian character through the study and practice of their faith.
  • Equip youth with the ministry skills needed for evangelization
Eleventh Grade – FulFilled: Overnight retreat at the flaget retreat center

This overnight retreat experience empowers the students to make tough decisions and to ask difficult questions in the midst of their faith walks with Christ. Students, with the support of a wider community,  are given the opportunity to take an honest look at their life, and where they can make changes to find true happiness with God. The focus is on emptying ourselves so that God can truly fill us. Experiences of prayer, witness talks, small group discussions, and community building are all a part of this retreat experience.

Twelfth Grade – Christian Awakening: 4-day Retreat

The Christian Awakening retreat experience has been around for decades. This four-day, three-night retreat helps high school seniors explore their relationship with themselves, with others, and most importantly with God. It calls them into a deeper relationship with Christ, and helps them to ‘reawaken’ the faith that has been instilled in. Ultimately, the retreat calls them to action – to live out the life that God has called them to.
