Indoor Air Quality
The Indoor Air Quality Program mandated by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis states no one is allowed to idle a vehicle in the parking lot. Parents and visitors are asked to comply with this regulation when picking up students from school, sporting events, theatre rehearsals, etc.

PowerSchool/School Messenger
Providence uses the PowerSchool and School Messenger to send a phone, email, and/or SMS text message to you providing important information about school events or emergencies. We use this to notify you of school delays or cancellations due to inclement weather, as well as remind you about events such as teacher conferences, grade reports, etc. In the event of an emergency at school, we will have the capability of informing everyone quickly through all of these communication channels. Keyless Entry
Providence uses proximity keyless entry technology for students, faculty, and staff. Doors are locked during school hours, and only those with an active ID can gain admission. Unlike traditional keys, should a proxy card be lost, it is simply disabled. A lost key, on the other hand, requires retooling of the locks of all doors the key opens–an expensive and time-consuming process.
The proxy badge ID replaces the traditional student ID card, and should be carried by the student at all times. It features a photo as well as a barcode of the student’s ID number used in PowerSchool. This barcode provides convenient and secure checkout for cafeteria purchases and may have other uses in the future.
Students only have access into the school through the front entrance, between the hours of 7:15 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., while faculty and other staff members are carefully supervising. All exits are secure throughout the day. Visitors must ring the doorbell for entrance and sign in at the front office to receive a visitor’s badge.
Video Surveillance
The parking lots and entire interior of the school are carefully monitored by security cameras that use advanced visual recognition software. Students are always safe and visible no matter where they are on campus.
